Merry Imbolc everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful day and enjoy the uncharacteristically fine weather we seem to be experiencing. I have yet to start my Imbolc celebration, as I decided to be very lazy today, but here are some very simple suggestions for you if you’re looking for a simple way to honor the holiday.
- Light a candle. Imbolc is, after all, a fire festival, so lighting candles or having some kind of (safe) fire is one way to bring the holiday to the fore of your mind.
- Meditate. Meditate on the meaning of Imbolc, of what you want to grow in the coming year, etc.
- Start spring cleaning. Imbolc is a great time to start cleaning up the clutter from winter and preparing for spring. It’s a good time to make your space friendlier and more conducive to attracting what you want. Imbolc is preparation, deciding what you want to come to fruition this year, and having a clean/clear space can help your mind be less cluttered.
- Do an Imbolc tarot reading. I’ll talk more about this after I do mine, but basically lay out 7 cards and do a year projection of what your year will look like, from Imbolc to Imbolc. I do this every year and have found it very helpful.
