Snapshot Saturday: Antelope Canyon, Part 2

Last year, I took a trip out to Arizona. I’ve been out there a couple of times, but I hadn’t had the opportunity or the funds to really go out and do some exploring beyond the town I was staying in. Last year, I had the opportunity to take a tour up to northern Arizona and see Antelope Canyon.

If you ever get the chance, do it. It’s absolutely worth it. The best time of day to tour is about 10:30am. That’s when the light is at its best. Although some of my shots didn’t turn out quite right because I wasn’t using the right settings on my camera in some instances, in others they became the best pictures I took during my trip.

I took a lot of pictures, and last week’s Snapshot Saturday was also Antelope Canyon. This is part two!

Snapshot Saturday: St. Dunstan’s in the East

I am a big fan of Sara Douglass‘ books.  In one of her series, a particular church in London is featured.  So when I realized I would be stopping in London, I made it my mission to find this church and visit for a while.  I thought it would be so awesome to visit a place used in books I read.

I found it, and it was more incredible than I expected.  The sense of peace emanates from its stones, and even though this church and its walls have seen so much in the city, its  churchyard is still a place of welcome and repose.  To find out more about St. Dunstan’s in the East, see my pictures below or read here or here.

Snapshot Saturday: Scotland

I just got back from a trip that included almost a week in Scotland, where I went up to the Isle of Skye, the highlands, and Edinburgh.  Here are some of my favorite pictures.

Snapshot Saturday: Zoo, Part Two

Part two of zoo pictures!  A couple weeks ago, just after Christmas, I went with my boy to the National Zoo Lights.  It was awesome!  I will definitely go again next year.  Ooh, I should make that a tradition… back to the topic.  Here are some more pics from my zoo adventure!  (For the first post, click here.)
